Sir Henry Lewis (1847-1923) was a prominent Calvinistic Methodist elder and temperance advocate in north Wales. He was born at Bangor, educated at Friars School and at Bala Calvinistic Methodist College. An enthusiastic supporter of the University College of North Wales (now University of Wales, Bangor), he was involved in finding a site for the new college buildings and was vice president of UCNW from 1919-1923.
